EA NCAA 2005 Playbook search FAQs How to use this program: Download both the PlaybookSearch.exe file and the playbook.txt file. Put them both in the same directory on your computer. If it's on the desktop put them both there. If they aren't in the same area (directory) the program doesn't work. You download by either selecting each file to download, or, downloading the winzip file if you have the winzip program. The NCAA search tool itself is pretty easy to understand once you open up the program. Enjoy. ********************* FAQs ********************* 1. I get an error anytime I try to search or show all the playbooks? - This is almost certainly because you do not have the PlaybookSearch.exe file in the same directory as the playbook.txt file. They must be in the exact same area of your computer because the .exe file reads from the .txt file to populate the formations you see. 2. I'm getting a runtime 53 error when I try to use the playbook search, why is this? - See the answer to question one. 3. I hit print, but nothing happens. - The program will print, but, you must exit the program before it starts. So just hit print, and then exit. I'm working to correct this. 4. What do all the formation abbreviations mean? I don't understand them all. - Go to the playbookLegend.txt file at: http://www.hawksnestonline.com/ncaa2005/playbookLegend.txt 5. How do I download the playbook.txt file? It automatically displays in my browser. - Try right clicking, and either going to "save as" or, "save target as". Make sure to keep it as playbook.txt when you save it to your harddrive, otherwise the .exe file will not read it and the program will not work. Another way around this problem is to download NCAA2005PlaybookSearch.zip file if you have winzip. Open the zip file, and then go to extract, and select where it will 'unzip' your files to. 6. What's with the playbook.txt list, a lot of the teams and formations aren't lined up. - It's a formatting issue I had to deal with when making this program. The search program will display them perfectly, but if I was to line them up perfectly in the playbook.txt file, it wouldn't. Feel free to download the .txt file and modify them as you wish.
